Midnight Heriz is a woolen reinterpretation of a classic Persian Heriz medallion design, rendered in deep indigo and ash tones. The silk shimmers through the darker field like moonlight on water, creating a sense of depth and quiet drama. The geometric medallion structure remains, but softened through overdyed layers and the subtle erosion of pattern, a meeting of antiquity and contemporary restraint.

Design note: Dyed using natural indigo and iron oxide, the palette captures the shifting blues of twilight. Each knot is hand-spun, and the silk highlights bring a gentle luminescence to the rug’s strong architectural form.
