Blue Haze

Collector’s Note

Blue Haze is a hand knotted wool runner woven in a palette of pale greys, soft blues, and muted ivory. Crafted using traditional Oushak weaving techniques, the runner features loosely spun wool and an open knot structure that give it a relaxed, pliable feel. A gentle wash applied after weaving softens the motifs and creates the diffused, mistlike appearance across the field.

The design belongs to the Oushak floral tradition, where large-scale palmettes and scrolling vines are arranged with generous spacing. This approach, characteristic of Western Anatolia, emphasizes tone and atmosphere over rigid geometric precision, resulting in a composition that feels airy and understated.

The runner is well suited for light, contemporary interiors. Its cool palette pairs naturally with pale woods, stone, and neutral upholstery, making it ideal for hallways, kitchens, or beside a bed, where its subtle coloration can brighten a space without overwhelming it.
