Skybound Heriz

Collector’s Note

Skybound Heriz is a hand knotted wool rug woven in a contemporary palette of terracotta, sky blue, and soft sand tones. The design draws from the Heriz–Serapi tradition of northwestern Iran, where angular motifs, branching stems, and geometric medallion arrangements form the core visual language. Here, those classical elements are reinterpreted with lighter colors and a more open feel, giving the piece a modern, approachable character.

Crafted using traditional techniques, the rug has a dense wool pile and clear, crisp motifs that show the influence of workshop weaving. The contrast between the warm central field and the cool blue border adds structure and depth while maintaining visual balance.

Ideal for living rooms, dining areas, or layered interiors, this rug pairs well with wood, leather, and neutrals. Its combination of warm and cool tones makes it a versatile statement piece that brings color without overwhelming a space.
