Collector’s Note

Saffron Stone is a hand-knotted wool runner woven in warm umber and gold tones. The rug is crafted using traditional Oushak techniques, recognizable in its soft-spun wool, open knot structure, and relaxed handle. Its gently washed surface gives it a muted, timeworn character.

The design follows the Oushak panel tradition, where the field is divided into repeating compartments filled with geometric and floral motifs. This layout traces its lineage to Western Anatolian village weaving, a style known for its architectural symmetry and earthy palettes.

Saffron Stone works well in hallways, entry spaces, or beside a bed, where its subdued colors and textured finish can add warmth without overpowering the room. Its neutral tones pair naturally with wood, stone, and understated textiles.
